Salil Parekh is a “Directur General Adjoint” of the Capgemini Group and a member of the Group Management Board of Capgemini, a Paris-headquartered consulting and IT services company with revenues of over €10.5 billion in 2014, with operations in over 40 countries, serving over 6,000 clients, with 180,000 employees.

Salil is responsible for a cluster of businesses comprising of the Application Services One (US, UK, Asia), Sogeti, and Infrastructure Services business units, and leading the Cloud area within Capgemini. His role involves driving client impact, moving the portfolio to areas of relevance to clients, driving new sales, managing client relationships, ensuring successful delivery, and maintaining a growing and profitable business for the shareholders.

Salil has been with the company (and predecessor firms) for 24 years and has worked in roles in the US and India. Salil was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP, prior to the acquisition of its consulting business by Capgemini in 2000.

Salil has Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, US and a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India.
