Raman is fondly referred to as the “Father of the Indian BPO Industry” and has played a pivotal role over the last 22 years in promoting BPM in general and in establishing India as a preferred destination for Remote Business Processing in the Flat World. Post pioneering off shore Back office capabilities for American Express and GE Capital (now Genpact) and Spectramind (now Wipro BPO) Raman established his fourth ‘startup’, Quatrro to fulfill underserviced and unaddressed needs of Mid-Market companies through Integrated Platform based services through a mix of incubation, acquisition strategies and leveraging ‘cloud architecture’. Raman is a founding board member of the “Indian Angel Network”, board member of the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Chapter in NCR etc. He was also appointed by the Indian Prime Minister’s Office to the Working Group tasked with developing recommendations to improve the supply of suitable talent to the IT & BPO industries.
